The first cancer we can eliminate.
Andalusia has changed its cervical cancer screening model: from incidental findings to a population-based programme with HPV testing. For this change to work, professionals and patients need clear information, shared criteria and reliable answers. Conecta VPH is where to find them.
Human papillomavirus virion · icosahedral capsid
Where this starts.
Diseases related to the human papillomavirus are largely preventable. Prevention rests on effective screening programmes and on vaccination.
In Andalusia, organised population screening is already in place for cervical cancer, in line with European and national recommendations. Work is under way in other HPV-related areas — such as anal cancer screening in at-risk populations — though without standardised population programmes yet.
Why Conecta VPH
This change of model is not only technical and organisational: it calls for deep, consistent and continuing training of the professionals involved.
Conecta VPH Andalucía exists to support that transition with a stable, practical and collaborative space bringing together current knowledge and emerging advances: continuing education, clinical resources and public information.

Clinicians and patients do not need the same thing.
The current site handles this with a pop-up on arrival that forces a choice before you know what is on offer. Here each area has its own entrance, and you can switch profile at any time.
